This week Leica debuted their 2nd black and white only camera. It features a brand-new, full-frame 24-megapixel sensor that takes incredibly sharp photos all the way up to 25,000 ISO. Taking care of the heavy lifting is the Maestro image processor and a 2GB buffer for faster shooting and review, compatibility with both Leica M and Leica R lenses, and a 3-inch LCD screen with a sapphire cover. The Type 246 adds 1080p video and sequential shooting at three times the speed of the previous model.
The M Monochrom (Type 246) will be available in May 2015 with a price tag of $7,450.
